All of our drop-in meditation classes are perfectly suited for busy modern people. You do not need to be a Buddhist to enjoy and understand Buddha’s teachings – anyone can benefit from increased inner peace.
All classes are taught by our Resident Teacher, or other experienced Kadampa teachers.
The general structure of the class is as follows:
- Simple guided breathing meditation
- Practical teaching on how to solve problems in daily life
- Second guided meditation on the teaching topic
- Brief discussion or Q & A
Although these drop-in meditation classes are taught as a series, each class is self-contained, so feel free to attend any one.
Until it is entirely safe for us to open the physical space of the Temple again, we are holding all events and classes online, streaming. For easy instructions how to book a class, click here.
If you would like more information or help, please contact us by e-mailing: epc@MeditateInSanFrancisco.org
People who have never meditated before can benefit from our classes — everyone is welcome. Teachings are presented in a clear and easily accessible manner, and meditations are guided so that both beginner and experienced meditators can appreciate the benefits of meditation.
In San Francisco, we currently are offering drop-in meditation classes streaming on Tuesday evening, and Sunday morning. We also have special classes, retreats and workshops, as well as regularly scheduled free group prayer sessions, all streaming. For more information on these events and prayer sessions, please see our calendar or look under Events/Retreats in our drop down menu on this website.
