Offering to the Spiritual Guide (chanted prayers) and preliminary talk with Eva Brzeski

Please join us on Wednesday, October 25 as Kadampa Centers around the world celebrate Je Tsongkhapa Day.

Je Tsongkhapa, (AD 1357-1419), was a great Tibetan Buddhist Master who promoted and developed Kadampa Buddhism by giving pure teachings, writing many profound texts and establishing monasteries. He spread a very pure Buddhadharma throughout Tibet, showing how to combine the practices of Sutra and Tantra, and how to practice pure Dharma during degenerate times. Although he showed the example of an ordinary, humble practitioner he led thousands of people into the spiritual paths of compassion and wisdom.

Everyone is welcome to engage in the traditional chanted prayers Offering to the Spiritual Guide, the Guru Yoga of Je Tsongkhapa. Feel free to bring a vegetarian food offering. This will be preceded by a short talk on following a pure leader and the benefits of these particular Buddhist prayers with Eva Brzeski.
