FOUNDATION PROGRAM FREE INTRODUCTORY TALK
Part 2 of New Heart of Wisdom
Wednesday, April 13, 7:00-9:00pm
With Eva Brzeski
Please join us for this introductory talk to find out more about this systematic and specially designed study program, the Wednesday night Foundation Program at KMC San Francisco
ABOUT THE BOOK
The New Heart of Wisdom is a commentary for the contemporary reader on the profound meaning of the very heart of Buddha’s teachings – the Perfection of Wisdom Sutras. This book reveals insights and advice on the ultimate nature of things, how we can abandon our ignorance and come to enjoy pure, lasting happiness by developing a special wisdom associated with compassion for all living beings.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Foundation Program is a uniquely structured study program that enables us to gain deeper understanding and experience of Buddhist teachings and to develop a regular meditation practice. It is ideal for those who have a general understanding of Buddhism but who wish to learn more. We have regular term breaks and a longer break in the summer. Students are requested to enroll for a section of the text and commit to attend all the classes. This is also an opportunity to develop lasting spiritual friendships.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Eva Brzeski began studying and practicing Buddhist teachings in 2004 and teaches Sunday morning Prayers for World Peace and the Foundation Program on Wednesdays at KMC San Francisco. She is well-loved for her sincerity and warmth, and she shows the joy of living a spiritual life. Eva is also a documentary filmmaker and editor.
