Fear, worry, and anxiety are ever increasing problems in our modern world. These “inner” enemies can interfere with our ability to live a happy life on a daily basis. They can also be the source of problems in relationships between people as well. In this public talk, American Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Chokyan, will explain how a daily practice of meditation can create an inner space of peace and clarity in the mind. This inner refuge of mental peace will protect you from the pain of fear and anxiety, and it will give you the clarity you need to easily solve your daily problems.


Gen Kelsang Chokyan is the Resident Teacher of KMC Tampa Bay. Chokyan is a western Buddhist monk ordained in the New Kadampa Tradition, and he has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (Founder on the NKT) for many years. Chokyan teaches the study programs and gives regular courses and empowerments at both the Tampa and Safety Harbor Center locations. A great example of how to practice Kadampa Buddhismin the modern world, Chokyan shows us how to find peace and happiness in our daily lives.
